A director-led devised piece influenced by the dramaturgy of Polish director and theorist T. Kantor.
The Table takes inspiration from meetings, deliberations, mythology, and power. Meanings and symbols were twisted and uprooted. Sound was often called upon for narrative drive, both in the devising process and the finalized performance.
Staged in the round, the sound design was responsible for immersion, energy and cohesion. Through the use of warped and stretched timbres, thematic elements of the inspiration were incorporated into the design.
